Relationship Counselling

Relationships with others, particularly those with partners, are an integral part of our lives and can be the source of great happiness and security. When relationships go wrong, they can be hurtful and destructive.
Relationship counselling works to enhance your understanding of yourself, your partner and the uniqueness of your relationship. A focus on this understanding and on effective communication will enhance the potential for you and your partner to move toward a more satisfying and rewarding relationship.

Recovery from Abuse
Abuse Counselling

The experience of abuse can have far reaching affects at the time it occurred and for many years beyond. It can result in feelings of worthlessness and reduced self esteem which in turn can significantly impact upon the quality of our lives and our relationships.
Abuse counselling can support you in working through your experience of abuse in order to reduce its ongoing impact on your life. Through this process new opportunities can emerge and you can gain a sense of control over your life once again.

Many people feel overwhelmed by their experience of anger. Anger management counselling is tailored to your specific situation and can assist you in developing positive ways to express anger which in turn leads to better mental health and better relationships. Anger Management Course

Life Supports Anger Management Course is a six to twelve week course for people who have used violence in their relationships, and who want to develop alternative ways of dealing with relationship and life difficulties.
The course supports people to take responsibility for their behaviour, to develop an understanding of their anger and behaviour and, most importantly, to develop skills to deal effectively with their feelings, relationships and life stressors in a positive and constructive way.

More specifically, by participating in the course you will explore:
• The difference between anger and violence.
• How your gender tends to impact behaviour and attitudes.
• That violence is a choice and how to become mindful of the choices you make.
• The costs and benefits of violence.
• What you need to do to take responsibility and change your behaviour.
• Non abusive ways of dealing with feelings, relationships, attitudes and life.
• How you truly make it right with people against whom you have used violence.

Many people have participated in this course and found it helpful in understanding and changing their behaviour.
Most importantly, the course helps people find positive ways to deal with their feelings, relationships, families
and lives.
