GENERAL COUNSELLING
No matter who we are, somewhere along our life journey, challenges will come our way. With our own resources and the support of others, we may be able to work through these issues ourselves and move forward in our lives. There are times, because we are human, that life can feel confusing, overwhelming and sometimes out of control and we have a sense that we can't do it alone. There may be times when we just feel sad or anxious without really being able to pinpoint why.
Counselling is a process of supporting you to identify and work through the issues that you bring to the counselling session. These may involve difficult life experiences or past issues that impact present feelings or behaviours. They may include issues around personal relationships, family dynamics, social or work life. You may be struggling with thoughts and feelings about yourself or having difficulty making sense of your own life direction and purpose. You may be experiencing feelings of anxiety or grief associated with trauma or loss.
Whatever you bring to counselling, Life Supports counsellors will work along side you to help make sense of your experience and help you to move forward in a constructive and positive way. For some clients, simply talking through issues can be a helpful process, while others may be looking for more specific guidance or strategies to support them through a difficult time. Together we will identify the most constructive and useful way that we can support you to make sense of your experience and bring about positive change in your life.
Life Supports counsellors have offices located in Balwyn, Melbourne CBD, Moorabbin, Niddrie, Prahran, Seddon and Geelong.
