Sex and our intimate relationships with others form an important part of adult life and are often an integral and immensely enjoyable component of our relationships with others. Sex and intimate sexual relationships have the potential to be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding aspects of our lives.

Sex and sexuality issues can however be the source of angst, conflict or self doubt. Problems related to sex can be part of a marriage or long term partnership if individuals have different sexual needs or desires within that relationship. Sex outside of a relationship may reflect problems within it, and can be the source of great hurt and mistrust. A young person who is coming to terms with their own sexuality may find it a confusing and difficult time. A parent may struggle coming to terms with a son or daughter's emerging sexuality, whether heterosexual or gay, and the way this is being expressed.

Life Supports counsellors are all highly experienced working with people who are dealing with issues relating to sex or sexuality. In a confidential and supportive environment, we will work with you individually or with you and a partner, if appropriate, to help you better understand the issues that you face. We will support you to find new ways to manage those issues relating to sex or sexuality and make the changes required to positively influence your relationships with others and yourself.
